Block and liner pools are a mid range pool as they are generally more expensive than timber pools but less labour intensive than a tiled pool.
They are formed buy using concrete block laid flat to create the shell of the pool then finished with a coat of smooth render ready for the pool lining.
There are two types of lining that can then be used. The most common is a bag liner, which is a made to measure liner produced in a factory then fitted on site.
The second is a liner cut and welded on site, these liners are generally more robust and can tolerate a higher pool running temperature than a conventional bag liner.
These liners are of superior quality however they are more labour intensive to fit which is why they are not such a common choice as the conventional bag liner.
The top of the pool is finished with a choice of copping stones. A range of internal or external fibreglass steps can be easily fitted when constructing block and liner pools.
A typical block and liner installation would on average take around 3-4 weeks to complete.
